Next ridiculously amazing dimension of Wearable Tech: Google.

Every year Google brings something freaky and for sure awesome. This time at Google I/O there something I didn't have even seen in sci-fi movies. They are called project #Soli and project #Jacquard and they are gonna make concept of Wearables something very different.

First talking about the project Jacquard (i.e. fitted to a loom to facilitate the weaving of figured and brocaded fabrics) as the definition says it has something to with the fabric. It is dedicated for manufacturing of touch sensitive fabric.  A giant blue sheet of cloth is laid out on a table here and at various points there were either monitors or light bulbs or phones stationed next to it. There are tiny little instructions too: tap here, swipe here. The arrows on those instructions point to the touch-sensitive zones on the fabric. I'm not sure what makes it tick, but there are larger threads sewn into those zones. When you tap, or swipe, or draw, it acts precisely like a touchscreen. It turns on the music, it draws a line on a screen, it changes the color of the Hue lights. Therefore, What could be mistaken for stitching is actually a touchpad.

Next to talk about is Soli. This something like -  You wave your hand over a disk and watch the screen in front of you to display your hand's position and movement in space. Basically a type of radar. The interesting part is that the chip doing all this is less than a inch square. And what's the neat thing about Soli is that it works even when something is covering it.

Just think of putting Jacquard and Soli next to each other maybe we don't have limited touchscreen interactions and devices. It's a pretty big deal. Thinking of possibilities of these both projects together are enormous.

We breathe the light, we breathe the music. #Sony lightbulb with built-in Bluetooth speaker.

After floating speakers, the tech giant Sony has come up with this innovative and beautiful gadget which is a LED Light bulb and a Bluetooth Speaker.

So now set a perfect mood for a date, party or dinner with just a light bulb. Sony has very elegantly put the illumination and the audiology in a sophisticate light bulb. This bright gadget has 360-lumen bulb with a 2-watt, 40 mm speaker both not interfering with each other, due it's a astute and canny design. Sony has put the speaker at the bottom end of the bulb for perfect music with a reflecting surrounding to provide light in every direction equally. And for power just screw it into a normal bulb socket.

Though the bulb comes packaged with a remote of its own, users can also download an app to control sound and light via their Bluetooth-enabled smartphones. Below, check out a promo video of the light/speaker in use.

Sony is launching the device in Japan on May 23rd with a price point of ¥23,880, or about $199. There’s no word yet on whether it will make it to the States or other markets.

Phone not Smart enough: #Light_Phone

In a world of smartphones, smart watches, smart TVs and smart homes, The Light Phone seeks to stand out by being, well, not very smart at all. While in today's world everyone is n social media weather for a professional cause or a just to remain connected to friends, family and to the world.

Here Light Phone is for giving break to a person from intense connectivity to world. The project offers basic approach to the communication that is just making necessary calls.

The beautiful little device is roughly of a size of a credit card having weight of just 39 grams and thickness of 4 mm. It's basically a GSM device with 500 min prepaid talktime that links to the user's smartphone for call forwarding. Everything is handled by a companion app, and we can store up to 10 numbers and can be accessed via speed dialing.

It uses a micro usb jack for charging and can run 20 days on a single charge which is pretty interesting and need of the hour. The other hardware which it has is LCD dot-matrix display and a touch module over the illuminated keyboard. There is also a speaker, volume rocked and a microphone. Simple and beautiful.

In today's busy world where notifications of our smartphone makes it more hectic, the Light Phone is for making your day less hectic. It might not be smartphone itself but it still requires a smartphone to do your job.

The Light Phone project is asking for US$200,000 on Kick starter. Assuming the funding effort is successful, a pledge of $100 will secure a single unit. The company hopes to ship handsets to backers in May 2016.
